While you are planning for your child to go back to school and preparing them for the new year, Foothill Unity Centre is making sure every child receives the essentials to go back to school even if their families can’t afford it.

For more than thirty years, Foothill Unity Centre has been providing assistance to low-income families and those in need, while treating them with the respect they deserve.

Helping almost 10,000 families a year, Foothill Unity Centre formed the ‘Back to School’ project seventeen years ago, so that all children can start the new school year together and on an even playing field.

This year, with the help of The Langham Pasadena, Foothill Unity Center is hosting their 17th annual ‘Back to School’ drive.

For them, it is important that children do not dread their first day back to school because they do not have the same as their peers. Having heard stories from children that their uniforms don’t fit them anymore, or their friends having new things and they don’t, Foothill believe this event plays an important part in children’s confidence. They are expecting to register over 1200 children for their annual ‘Back to School’ event, and you can help make sure every child from grades K1-12 gets what they need for the new school year.

From now until Thursday, July 23rd, The Langham Pasadena is hosting a drive for school supplies that will be distributed at the ‘Back to School’ event on Tuesday, August 11th at the Santa Anita Race Track.
