Hillsides, a Southern California foster care charity, raised nearly $15,000 during its annual Day at the Races at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia on April 2. More than 115 supporters enjoyed a day of lunch at the FrontRunner restaurant and horse racing while benefiting the 104-year-old agency. Guests also participated in a silent auction that raised funds for Hillsides.

Day at the Races is hosted by the Hillsides Guild, a support group of Hillsides. This year’s event was co-chaired by Guild members Astrid Fishbein and Cathy Brennan, who also co-chaired last year’s event. Brennan also serves as the chair of the Hillsides Guild.
