Cereal is the breakfast of young and old, rock stars and preschoolers, broke college students and the hoi poli. Celebrate this versatile breakfast of champions at South Pasadena’s very own cereal and grilled cheese restaurant.

After five and a half years in business, Heather Apraku is just as enchanted by cereal as she was on day one. For Yoo and her sister, Kimberly, this nostalgic comfort food is the perfect treat day or night. Thus, Mix n’ Munch was born.

The sisters grew up eating cereal at their grandparent’s house while watching Woody Woodpecker. Although customers can enjoy their cereal with their choice of milk and mix-ins, the girls’ grandfather used whole milk first, added sugar and then rice krispies. Heather is firmly on the side of the “milk first, cereal later” debate.
