What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon in October, then tasting a range of good food provided by top local restaurants on South Lake Pasadena?
If you are a foodie and want to enjoy good food, live cooking demos, watching celebrity chefs while listening to live music, then you should not miss the Taste of South lake Festival.
Held at Corporate Centre Pasadena, the free event held on October 10th offers a celebration of the best South Lake has to offer and you can be a part of it all. This is a free outdoor event and with over twenty five restaurants taking part. Some of those restaurants are:
Celestino Ristorante & Bar – Known for their Italian specialities including Prosciutto and melon, Penne pasta with Prosciutto and vodka sauce.
Jamba Juice – blending up a mix of delicious juices and smoothies under 250 calories including cucumber orange cooler, Veggie vitality, Great Greens and Citrus Kick.
Du-pars Restaurant and Bakery – As well as a range of appetizers, salads and sandwiches, Du-pars offer delicious pies including their pie of the month– Bartlet Pear Pie.
The Veggie Grill – Offering grilled Quinoa and Veggie Burger, Mediterranean tossed salad with house feta and chargrilled street corn, amongst other vegetarian and vegan dishes.
Pie ‘n’ Burger – A Pasadena staple for burgers and, well, pie.
Yogurt Land – This popular chain of soft-serve yogurt bars features a rotating menu of classic and creative flavors.
The event starts at 11:00 a.m. ending at 5:00 p.m. with a host of musical performers throughout the day.
11:00 a.m.: DJ GRANT OWENS from We Found New Music
12:00 p.m.: ATTIC EMPIRE – 7 piece space funk musical collective
1:00 p.m.: FREEDOM FRY – Unique 60′s inspired folk/pop sound
2:00 p.m.: RUN RIVER NORTH – Korean-American indie folk rock band
3:00 p.m.: THE COLOURIST – Acclaimed American rock band
4:00 p.m.: THE BIRD AND THE BEE – LA Times calls “a breezy collection of stylish, pop tunes”
DJ Grant Owens will be djing between performances.
There will be complimentary entry and parking throughout the day, so bring your friends and family down.
