The Mojave Trio – Violinist Sara Parkins, cellist Margaret Parkins, and pianist Genevieve Feiwen Lee will perform the music of Hannah Lash, Shostakovich and Beethoven – specifically: Around (2015), Trio No. 2 in E minor, Op. 67 (1944), and Trio in B flat Major, Op. 97 “Archduke”.

Violinist Sara Parkins is a Grammy award winner for Best Chamber Music Performance of the complete recordings of the Haydn String Quartets, with the Angelus Quartet. Ms. Parkins has collaborated with new music composers and performers throughout the USA and Europe; and attended the Curtis Institute of Music and SUNY at Stony Brook.

Cellist Margaret Parkins is equally at home in chamber music, orchestral music and the avant-garde, and has performed throughout the USA and Europe. For 19 years she was the cello professor at UCIrvine and ran their chamber music program. She is currently on faculty at Pomona College.

Grammy nominated pianist Genevieve Feiwen Lee has thrilled audiences in China, Brazil, Europe and the USA; and her first engagement was with the York Symphony at age twelve. Ms. Lee received her degrees from the Peabody Institute, the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, and the Yale School of Music. She is the Everett S. Olive Professor of Music at Pomona College.
