Priority registration is the first phase of PUSD’s annual winter Open Enrollment process, which offers families an opportunity to apply to attend a school other than their assigned neighborhood school in the next academic year.

Open Enrollment Priority registration is for:

Siblings. Priority registration is offered to brothers and sisters residing at the same address of a child currently attending a PUSD school that is not the school of residence. To qualify, siblings must attend the same school together.

Willard 5th Graders. Willard students who do not live in Blair’s attendance area but wish to continue with the International Baccalaureate Programme (IB) in middle school pre-register directly at the Blair campus.

Dual Language Immersion Program (DLIP) Pre-K, 5th and 8th Graders.

• Students enrolled in a 2016-17 DLIP Pre-K program when school began August 15, 2016, who are transitioning to kindergarten in 2017-18, will be grandfathered to pre-enroll for that language program. This is the last year DLIP Pre-K students may submit priority registration for DLIP Kindergarten per BP/AR 5116.1.
• San Rafael Dual Language Immersion Program-Spanish 5th graders continuing in DLIP may pre-register at Blair.
• Fifth grade students in Field’s Dual Language Immersion Program-Mandarin Chinese who plan to continue in DLIP for middle school pre-register at Sierra Madre Middle School.
• Eighth grade students in Sierra Madre’s Dual Language Immersion Program-Mandarin Chinese who plan to continue DLIP Mandarin Chinese in high school may pre-register at Pasadena High School.
• Priority Registration takes place at Schools, not at the District office.
