Mothers’ Club Family Learning Center is set to celebrate its sixth annual Fall Food Fest in Pasadena on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016. This annual event benefits low-income families with young children in the Pasadena community. The ticketed event will be held at the non-profit’s sustainable learning center at 980 North Fair Oaks Avenue and will include a silent auction, live entertainment and unlimited food and beverage provided by some of Los Angeles’ top restaurants and eateries.

Festivities will include live music, a photo booth, various wine, beer and tequila tastings, as well as food and beverages from local restaurants. The event will be led by Master of Ceremonies Jim Babcock, and attendees can enjoy live music all night from two great acts: The Labrateers and DJ frankroc.

“We’re delighted and thrilled to have our Fall Food Fest back for another year,” said Hector LaFarga, Jr., Executive Director at Mothers’ Club. “To witness the city of Pasadena, as well as greater Los Angeles, coming together to support low-income families is truly special. We hope to raise over $80,000 to support families living in isolation and poverty right here in our community. We’ve been serving families for 55 years and have seen the difference two-generational learning programs can make.”

Participating vendors for the evening include: Azul Imperial, Bacchus’ Kitchen, Choctál, Contessa Collections LLC, Crafted By Moonlight, Crossings, El Cholo Café, El Portal, Everson Royce, Health-Ade Kombucha, Home Brew Bar, Pasadena Sandwich Company, Ridgeview Brewing, Urban Plates, and White Horse Lounge.

Tickets are $125 each, with the option to purchase an early bird ticket for $100 before October 1. A bundle of six tickets can be purchased for $500. Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on an array of exciting items at the event’s live and silent auction.

Mothers’ Club provides two-generation learning programs that support low-income families with children from birth to age five. This unique approach is a proven way to lift disadvantaged families out of the cycles of poverty and under-education. Mothers’ Club programs comprise high quality, research-based early childhood education for children ages 0-5, and comprehensive services for parents, including parent education, leadership training, adult literacy, vocational exploration, and mental health support and interventions. The organization has served the Pasadena community for over 50 years and supports more than 100 families each year.

Mothers’ Club Family Learning Center is a non-profit organization that prepares families living in isolation and poverty to succeed in school and in life through two-generation learning programs. To fulfill our mission, we provide FREE social services and educational programs to low-income, at-risk families with children ages 0-5. In all programs, parents and children are on-site, engaged in their own comprehensive curricula. Programs successfully increase literacy levels, educational outcomes and the emotional well-being of both generations. We currently serve 95 parents and 116 children each year.
