On Thursday, August 1, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Vino at Trios will play host to Jason Goelz, owner and wine maker of Jason Stephens Winery.

Born in the Midwest before moving to California during his senior year, Goelz took a wine appreciation course during college and enjoyed it so much he earned a minor in wine/vinticulture upon graduation.

In mid-2006, Goelz approached Santa Clara grower Stephen Dorcich and presented the idea of building a winery on Dorcich’s vineyard. The two agreed and the Jason-Stephens Winery was born in 2008.

The initial release of 8,000 cases were well received and the winery’s wines have consistently garnered awards and media features. With state-of-the-art equipment and encompassing 10,000 square feet, Jason-Stephens Winery is fast becoming one of the largest, and best, wineries in the country to date.

On August 1, meet the wine maker himself as he graces Vino at Trios for a special meet & greet. There will be a cover charge of $20 (plus 18% gratuity) which includes wines and appetizers. An exclusive email member offer of 2 for $35 including tax and gratuity is also offered.

Vino at Trios is located at 10 North Fist St., Alhambra. For more information on the event, visit vinotrios.com or call (626)284-4674 for reservations.
