Hillsides, a foster care charity, held a gala sponsor reception for donors on January 31 at Alma de la Rosa restaurant in Pasadena. Some 70 guests enjoyed appetizers and drinks at the new restaurant owned by Robert and Deborah Simon, the site of the former AKA Bistro in Old Town Pasadena.
The event was a chance to thank the sponsors of Hillsides upcoming gala, Las Flores de Hillsides, which is being held on February 25 at the Langham Huntington, Pasadena. The gala is the charity’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and will benefit the 13,000 children and families that Hillsides serves. The chair this year is Los Angeles businesswoman Sara Simpson. “I am honored to be the chair of Hillsides annual gala, which combines two of my greatest loves, flowers and nature, with my passion for helping children in need,” said Simpson . I look forward to seeing everyone there.”
