Wouldn’t it be amazing to end a hectic work week with specially-crafted cocktails from the neighborhood’s best?

Kick off the weekend with a Night Cap Cocktail created by Evan Zimmerman for Magnolia House. It’s a marvelous combination of coffee bean Cynar, blanc vermouth, and fresh fig bitters to shake you up for the evening ahead.

Also from Magnolia House, The Americano by Colin Shearn was crafted to quench your insatiable thirst without getting you too tipsy for a barhop. It’s a delightful mix of Campari, Sweet Vermouth, and seltzer with an orange garnish and is considered to be the little sister to the classic Negroni cocktail.

1886 - Lebowski Achiever Winter 2011If you’re heading over to The Raymond 1886, make sure to order the Lebowski Achiever by former 1886 Head Barman Brady Weise, one of 1886’s “Greatest Hits” which first appeared on the menu three years ago. The White Russian-inspired concoction is composed of vodka, crème de cacao, coffee stout and fresh cream.  It’s perfect for those Urban Achievers out there.

For those with a sweet tooth, order Peter Lloyd-Jones’s Huckleberry Sour, a sweet twist on the traditional bourbon sour. Crafted with huckleberry jam, fresh lemon, and the perfume of a singed rosemary sprig, this cocktail is sure to satisfy.

The Raymond Restaurant’s Sous Chef Chris Hoey’s Apple Pie Hot Toddy tastes as good as it sounds. It features a delightful pie crust-infused rye whiskey with a dash of lemon and brown sugar that is served up piping-hot, topped with a green apple foam.  Despite the untraditional serving method, this cocktail is definitely reminiscent of your grandmother’s fresh-from-the-oven apple pie.

These seasonal recipes and other delectable offerings are now available at Magnolia House and The Raymond 1886, so make sure to drop by for a new holiday cocktail experience.
