Farm to TableLincoln, a new bakery and restaurant opened in November 2014, will be hosting their second farm to table event in support of Muir Ranch.

The quaint restaurant with open patio and large windows, is jointly owned by Christine Moore and Pam Perkins, and offers both outdoor and indoor dining with breakfast and lunch menus.

As part of the Farm to Table Dinner, Lincoln restaurant has teamed up with Muir Ranch, part of the John Muir High School, to host the charity meal for the second year running.

Muir Ranch began in 2011 by teachers and students of John Muir High school. Both students and teachers volunteered their time to create an urban farm on their campus that would grow flowers, fruit and vegetables. The goal was that the ranch would supply fresh produce for the school cafeteria as well as an internship program for the students, and they have succeeded in that.

Now, Muir ranch also supplies weekly CSA boxes to subscribers of Muir and CSA. CSA, otherwise known as Community Supported Agriculture, is a production and distribution company that is the link between farmers and consumers. Over 100 Subscribers receive a weekly box full of 7-10 different fruits and vegetables from Muir, CSA and other local farmers who are able to provide seasonal fruits and vegetables.

Muir Ranch is also sponsored by Pasadena Educational Foundation who believe in building strong communities starting with schools.
The dinner will feature a plant-based menu using fresh vegetables from Muir Ranch. The menu is currently TBA, but we will post any updates as they become available.

The worthy event will be held July 25th from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Cash will be accepted at the door, but you can buy your tax-deductible tickets ahead of time to avoid disappointment here [https://www.eventbrite.com/e/lincoln-loves-muir-ranch-farm-to-table-dinner-tickets-17538287490]
