Spend an evening enjoying food and fashion for a good cause. On Thursday, July 28, 2016 Salon and Spa will put on a fashion show to benefit the Pasadena Humane Society and the evening will be completed by wine and food from the Restaurant Republic family of restaurants: Lucky Boy, Paco’s and City Cafe.

Menu highlights include appetizer-size Chili Cheese Fries from Lucky Boy, Mini-tamales and Quesadillas from Paco’s, Prime Rib Flatbread from City Cafe and a selection of wines. Humanity for Paws offers fine food and fashion while giving patrons a chance to learn more about the free services the Pasadena Humane Society offers and the opportunity to support them.

“[This event] creates awareness of the need of the organization that provides free services to the community,” said Christina Karagias, owner of the Restaurant Republic.

This will not be the first time the Restaurant Republic participates in the local community – in fact, they host weekly Give Back nights at their restaurants where a percentage of dine-in and take-out proceeds are donated to a specific charity. Ms. Karagias feels it’s important to be an active participant in the community and to raise awareness about local and national issues.

“We celebrate life at all of the restaurants with food, feasting and friendship,” says Ms. Karagias.

The Humanity for Paws event and fundraiser will take place on Thursday, July 28 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Pasadena Humane Society at 361 South Raymond Avenue. Pre-sale tickets are available for $35; $40 at the door. Seating is limited. Purchase tickets at 1202 Salon and Spa or call (626) 765-3505.
