This week, enjoy the unique Mexican/Yucatan cuisine of El Portal for lunch and dinner with its ‘Specials Del Dia’ from November 5th to November 10th.

From Tuesday to Thursday, Lunch and Dinner, and Friday Lunch, enjoy the following scrumptious specials:

Cajun Turkey Quesadilla

Roasted turkey breast in Cajun spices, sliced tomatoes, Kalamata olives, cheddar and jack cheese, all folded into a large flour tortilla with black beans guacamole and sour cream

Lomitos de Valladolid

Finely cubed pork, slowly cooked in its own juice, with crushed fresh tomatoes, and a touch of garlic. Served with a cup of black bean soup, rice, and avocado slices.

Blackened Filet of Sole

Tender Sole, pan blackened and finished with a mango salsa. Served with Mexican rice and fresh vegetables.

For weekend specials, enjoy the following from Friday evening to Sunday:

Pollo Pibli de Yucatan

Tender chicken marinated in achiote (not spicy) and lime juice, topped with sliced tomato, sweet tomato, and sweet onion. Then wrapped in banana leaves and baked. Served with black beans and rice.

Rib Eye Steak

Pan Seared Rib Eye Steak topped with a chipotle and mushroom sauce, served with roasted new potatoes with rosemary and fresh vegetables.

Salmon del Manager

Fresh filet of Salmon lightly marinated with pasilla chile then grilled. Topped with mango relish. Served with a side of white beans with cilantro and fresh vegetables.

Enjoy the above specials with Brenda’s Cantarito, a lively mix of De la Riva Tequila, orange juice, lemon juice, fresh lime juice, squirt served on the rocks in a highball glass.

Also, for those who love pumpkin soup, El Portal’s famous version of the classic dish is back only for October and November.
