Clairbourn School’s kindergarten students worked on an engineering project last Wednesday, October 16.

The activity is based on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics education, which focuses on problem-based learning.

The students were presented with a task: to design and make a container that includes handles and could carry at least three apples.

Four containers were produced by the students who worked individually and by group, with each child having a certain job such as being a time keeper, speaker, material manager and recorder.

The containers were tested and the winning design was able to hold 11 apples.
