At the Holiday Program on December 19, Carver announced the Golden Nugget Awards to a new round of honorees. This longstanding tradition of 38 years for Carver School, is given each year to a select group of Carver parents, teachers and staff members who have made outstanding contributions to the Carver community.
“I am inspired by the overwhelming number of volunteer hours these awardees have dedicated to Carver School, helping students and teachers, and making our school a wonderful place,” said Mrs. Hollingsworth.
This year, 10 awardees were chosen, and honored for gifts of time and talent to the school’s PTA, Parent Party, Carnival, Annual Fundraiser, Lunar New Year, and Enrichment program. Honorees were also thanked for their contributions to the Safety Crew and Holiday Program.
