Arlington Garden, is a public garden reclaimed by the vision, determination, and work of Betty and Charles McKenney. Once an abandoned patch of weeds, Arlington Garden is now a collection of alfresco ‘rooms’ featuring plants that thrive in Southern California’s distinct climate zones; from the Olive Tree Allee to desert xeriscape borders, Live Oak havens and fields of native wildflowers to rush-filled swales that soak in storm water runoff, and an orchard of Orange trees. Bordered by Pasadena Avenue and Arlington Drive, the Garden is a bucolic retreat within the urban landscape. Arlington Garden is free, open sunrise through sunset, each day of the year.
