“I had a buyer that came over from the West side and she loved fine dining so I gave her list of restaurants she would like and [it] helped [her] acclimate to the area really well,” said Alms.
Alms sees this as a large part of getting people settled and invested in the community. “I think it’s a great service, but I actually also really enjoy driving them around, no different from what I would do if I had family visiting,” she said.
In addition to the in-person tour, Alms creates a map with interest points that help clients orient themselves in a new space. She also maps the homes they plan to view so they can refer back to the map when they are making a decision and be able to recognize the neighborhood location and proximity to things that are important to them, i.e. Old Town, schools, libraries, etc.
“I love Pasadena and the surrounding areas and I love living in Pasadena… I do it because it’s fun for me to talk about it and show people around,” explained Alms.
