Each year, Mothers’ Club Family Learning Center celebrates The Power of Two – the practice of simultaneously providing children and their parents new skills and knowledge so that the entire family can succeed in school and in life. In place of its traditional May gala, this year’s event will take the form of an intimate dinner party at one of Pasadena’s most popular destinations: Bistro 45. On Thursday March 12th, the agency’s most dedicated supporters will gather in celebration of its two-generation learning programs for low-income families in Pasadena.
Mother’s Club is thrilled to honor Dr. Celia C. Ayala, Ph.D., the CEO of Los Angeles Universal Preschool (LAUP), who will be accepting this year’s Power of Two Award. Dr. Ayala is leading the charge to increase access to affordable, high-quality preschool for children throughout Los Angeles County. Thanks to Mother’s Club partnership with LAUP, the agency is able to provide 37 slots for four year olds in the Pre-Kindergarten classroom. LAUP also fully funds the enrollment of more than 10,000 children into preschool in LA County.
Mother’s Club invites the community to join them on March 12th, 6:00 p.m., for a special night out at Bistro 45, a warm and welcoming Pasadena restaurant characterized by its blend of the traditional and the modern. The evening will include a California fresh four-course dinner, with beer and wine included. Tickets are $200 per person and space is limited. Please visit www.mothersclub.org for more information or to purchase tickets. All proceeds will benefit Mothers’ Club’s unique two-generation learning programs. The event is made possible through the generosity of Mother’s Club’s sponsors, including: Los Angeles Universal Preschool; The Disney Store; Margaret and David Mgrublian; and Judith and David Brown.
