Wake up the neighbors, and get out your bus pass. The 2014 Family Winemakers of California Tasting event is coming to Pasadena. The comprehensive tasting of wines features over 155 producers and 750 different wines from the state’s most acclaimed wine regions. This year’s tasting will take place on March 9, 2014, at the Pasadena Convention Center. The 2014 theme, “From Our Table to Yours” highlights each winery’s personal story.

At the Family Winemakers Tasting, attendees have the unique opportunity to meet face-to-face with not only the winery representatives, but often times the winemaker or winery owners themselves. In addition, attendees with a refined exploratory palate can also purchase access to the iSip Lounge, where VIPs will have an opportunity to taste from a portfolio of wines that retail at $75 per bottle or more.

Family Winemakers of California has presented an Annual Tasting since its founding in 1991. Originally, the Tasting was developed as a trade-only event; an opportunity for member-wineries and California’s wine trade to gather together and talk about the issues foremost in the minds of industry members while tasting great wine.

This year is the first year the Pasadena tasting will be open to the general public. The event has been held at the Pasadena Convention Center for the past ten years, and typically draws more than 200 wineries and over 1,000 members of the wine trade. It is the most comprehensive tasting of California wines in the Los Angeles area. Sip it. The Family Winemakers of California Tasting will be held March 9 at the Pasadena Convention Center, Exhibit Hall A, 300 E Green St, Pasadena.
