Sweet corn meets fresh ricotta and truffles on Trattoria Neapolis’ new summer menu. Chef Bryant Wigger has blended ingredients and flavors that celebrate fresh produce of the season.
Cool off with refreshing Panzanella salad made with heirloom tomatoes, chiabatta croutons, avocado and smoked tomato vinaigrette or the Caprese salad with creamy Burrata cheese and fig balsamic sorbetto.
Then there’s Calamari Brodetto (soup) features tomato broth, fregola and pine nuts, or savor their agnolotti pasta filled with roasted sweet corn and ricotta.
Celebrate the fruits of the season with their new desserts – apricot tiramisu, local cherry pie with sugar crust and vanilla mascarpone or Pana Cotta with fresh market plums, smoked honey and crunchy streusel.
I doubt if other summer menus look half as good as this one. Especially from a restaurant that’s a recipient of the Reader’s Choice Awards for Best New Restaurant in the San Gabriel Valley by Pasadena Star News, as well as one of LA’s 12 Hottest New Restaurants by Zagat.
Trattoria Neapolis is located at 336 South Lake Avenue.
