Taco Tuesday is the weekly celebration of all the deliciousness you can fold into a corn tortilla. But if you’re a vegetarian the pickings can be pretty slim and if you’re vegan – your options are severely limited to unimaginative taco choices.

Luckily, TLT has the remedy for your taco-woes. Their inventive California cuisine draws influences from Asian food and Mexican flavors to create uniquely flavorful dishes. Their menu includes meaty dishes like Pork Belly Nachos and Blue Crab Grilled Cheese but doesn’t skimp on plant-based fare.

Vegans can choose between the Mr. Potato Taco or the Tofu Taco both come on soft corn tortillas. The Mr. Potato Taco takes TLT’s crispy Pee Wee Potatoes and combines them with pico de gallo and housemade chimichurri. The Tofu Taco offers a fresh, flavorful take on Mexican fare with crispy tofu cubes, spicy lime-sambal sauce, mango black bean salsa and cilantro with chimichurri.

The flavorful crispy tofu cubes are a star item on TLT’s vegan menu and offer a hearty protein option for vegans and non-vegans alike. Add the tofu cubes to TLT’s chilled Chimmi Noodles with arugula and peanuts or the Green Rice Bowl which comes with pickled veggies, miso radish, furikake, sesame, sambal and cilantro. These customizable bowls make a filling meal. For a lighter option, try the Beet Salad with pickled golden beets, roasted red beets, arugula, mint and spiced candied almonds – just be sure to ask them to hold the goat cheese.

One of TLT’s standout vegan options is the Cali Ceviche – this creative take on ceviche is made of cauliflower, avocado, lime, red onion, cilantro, jalapeño and has a slight sweet edge and comes on a crisp bed of corn tortilla chips. This inventive dish takes cauliflower to new heights and unlike anything else on their menu.
