Shema Dougall Design has quite an impressive portfolio to date. Among its designs are the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, the Lotus Casino in Sacramento, The Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, the Beijing Longyun Shopping Center, and the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City.

While they’re all high-end and big-budgeted design ventures, Shema Dougall Design doesn’t just focus on major players: “We’re not limited to the large-scale projects,” says David Shema, one of the founders.

David Shema explains that they are more than happy to take on other projects like mid-range to fine dining restaurants. “Any concept where the owners want to create a very sophisticated experience—that’s our forte,” says Shema.

Shema, who has been in the industry for over 25 years now, and his team’s number one commitment is to give the best and most personal service to its clients.

“We are more of boutique design firm where we don’t take on many different clients at a time. We take on two or three and focus on giving them the highest level of service that we can offer.”

Their design process is one where everyone in the firm is involved.

“Our entire office is working on each project. Our process is not something that [allows anything to get] lost in translation, really,” Shema adds. Through collaboration, they are able to meet the demands of each project. Theirs is a community of designers who take creative risks and push each other to be their best.

Every client is treated the same way using a standard approach to ensure each project completely satisfies the customer’s needs.

“What we’d like them to do is set an initial call for consultation or I can meet the client and find out what their goals are, find out where they see themselves fitting into the market and how they want to position themselves.”

Who wouldn’t want the VIP treatment? If you and your team need a new space, consider giving Shema Dougall a call to find out they can help you reach your goals.
