The Restoration Concerts’ Series of the South Pasadena Public Library will present the California String Quartet, on Sunday, October 23, 2016, 4:00 p.m. at the Community Room of the South Pasadena Public Library.

The California String Quartet was formed in 2002 by members of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra in order to explore the endless diversity and beauty of the more intimate chamber music repertoire. They also collaborate with contemporary composers and have premiered numerous new works. The Quartet has performed with LACMALive, the Norton Simon Museum, the South Bay Chamber Music Society, the CalTech Music Society and in many other venues.

The Quartet holds degrees from the Paris Conservatory, UCLA, USC and the Colburn. Katia Popov and Luanne Homzy – violins, Zach Dellinger – viola, and Charlie Tyler – cello.

The California String Quartet will perform the Mozart Quartet in D k575, and Tchaikovsky’s Quartet #1 on October 23, 2016 – 4:00 p.m. in the Community Room of the South Pasadena Public Library – 1115 El Centro Street, South Pasadena. $20 at the door.
