Hillsides annual fundraiser, The Ice House All-Star Anniversary Show, held on October 4, 2015 at The Ice House comedy club in Pasadena, raised $10,000 for the children who live at Hillsides residential treatment center. The packed show headlined Billy Gardell from the hit CBS show “Mike & Molly.” Also performing were Tone Bell of Comedy Central’s “Key and Peele,” Jonathan Kite of “2 Broke Girls” (CBS), and Kira Soltanovich of the former Oxygen channel show “Girls Behaving Badly,” among other talented comedians.
Each year, The Ice House owner Bob Fisher puts on a special anniversary show and donates the proceeds to a volunteer group of Hillsides, the Hillsides Volunteer Network. The funds raised provide outings and activities for the children.
Hillsides Residential Treatment Services provide a safe and stable environment where children and youth who cannot live at home, have suffered trauma, or face emotional and/or behavioral challenges, can thrive. Sixty-two children currently live at Hillsides.
The Ice House Comedy Club, which is celebrating 55 years in business, is located at 24 N. Mentor Avenue, Pasadena.
