The deadline for local youths to submit an application for this year’s Summer Rose Youth program has been extended, according to Mercy Santoro, director of Human Services and Recreation.

Interested youths 18 and over, may now submit applications to the front desk at Villa-Parke Community Center, 363 East Villa Street, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., through April 17. Applicants must be residents of Pasadena, qualify under Federal income guidelines, and be able to show proof of both.

This year the age requirement has been raised to 24, in accordance with City policy. An additional 50 applications have been provided to Pasadena City College.
