On Sunday, November 17, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., The Market, at St. Elizabeth Parish School, invites all to celebrate the great work of human hands at this third annual all-outdoor arts and crafts event.
During this family-friendly special event, many local artisans will be present, featuring works of art for sale, including jewelry, ceramics, pottery, glasswork, clothing, knitwear, textiles, home décor, toys, such as elaborate handmade doll accessories, and more.
The Market was created primarily to celebrate community, offering all an opportunity to appreciate and enjoy the artistry and craftsmanship of all things handmade. Here, unique creations will be available for sale, in time for holiday shopping, amidst fun activities for all ages.
“We are excited to continue the idea of ‘the work of human hands’ with offering our vendors’ handmade goods, as well as opportunities for children to participate in crafts and activities, and of course, all the yummy food, including the freshly made kettle corn that fills the air at The Market, said Julia Moore, Co-Creator of The Market at St. Elizabeth Parish School. She added, “It is a great opportunity to take time for some simple family fun before all the hustle and bustle of the holidays, and perhaps get some early shopping done with unique handmade goods. Join the feast!”
The Market, at St. Elizabeth Parish School, located at 1840 N. Lake Avenue, Altadena, will also offer a raffle, cupcake walk, food and treats for sale, face-painting, bounce house, and a children’s used book sale. In the spirit of St. Elizabeth, The Market seeks to encourage and affirm creativity in all. For more information, please visit www.saint-elizabeth.org.
