Sierra Madre Playhouse is instituting a series of play readings. Readings take place once a month on selected Mondays at 7:00 p.m. They are free of charge, although donations to the non-profit Sierra Madre Playhouse will be accepted. Plays presented in the series will range from new American works to American classics.
First up, on January 25, is On the Verge by Eric Overmeyer, featuring actors Arthur Hankett, Stephanie Erb, Annie Abrams and Betsy Zajko..
Subsequent dates in the series are February 15, March 28, April 11, May 23, June 13, July 23, August 29, September 26, October 17 and November 28.
At Sierra Madre Playhouse, 87 W. Sierra Madre Blvd., Sierra Madre. There is ample free parking behind the theatre.
