Worldwide the number of people diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders is rising. A primary challenge related to this epidemic is the lack of professionals trained to support these individuals. The Profectum Foundation is a newly formed international non-profit organization based in Mendham, New Jersey. Founded in 2011, Profectum’s primary mission is to advance the training of parents and professionals to help children and families with special needs worldwide. Profectum embraces the DIR® (Developmental, Individual Differences, Relationship-based Model) as its core approach complemented by Profectum’s new Foundational Capacities for Development (FCD™).
On April 12th thru 14th, at the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, California, Profectum Foundation will present their First International Conference, Three Dimensional Thinking in Autism and Stress Related Disorders. Keynote presentations feature leading researchers sharing their latest findings, as well as clinicians and educators pioneering state-of-the-art multi-dimensional intervention approaches for children, adolescents and individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and other special needs.
