The Honorable Bill Bogaard, who made history as Pasadena’s first directly elected Mayor in 1999, and whose dedicated public service and respected leadership in this City span nearly four decades, was recognized as the 2015 Contemporary History Maker honoree by Pasadena Museum of History. The prestigious award was presented at a gala dinner program at the landmark Langham Huntington Hotel on Friday, September 25, 2015.
For more than forty years, Bill Bogaard has made lasting contributions to the City and has been unwavering in support of so many nonprofits, including Pasadena Museum of History. The former mayor embodies the description of a Contemporary History Maker and adds significantly to the list of more than fifty honored since 2000, which includes his wife Claire who joined the illustrious group in 2003.
