David Russell, GRAMMY winner and audience favorite the world over will perform Solo Recital on Saturday, February 18, 8:00 p.m. at Pasadena Presbyterian Church. Presented by Los Angeles Sound Foundation.
Featuring a program honoring legendary composer Enrique Granados, this is the first time since 2007 that Maestro Russell has performed a full, solo recital in Southern California. David Russell’s concert continues the Guitarra del Mar Concert Series at the Pasadena Presbyterian Church with dazzling guitar.
David Russell is world renowned for his superb musicianship and inspired artistry, having earned the highest praise from audiences and critics alike. Maestro Russell won the GRAMMY award in 2005 for his CD AIRE LATINO, in the category of best instrumental soloist in classical music. He holds an Honorary Doctorate in Music by the University of Arizona in Tucson in 2014.
In recognition of his great talent and his international career, he was named a Fellow of The Royal Academy of Music in London in 1997.
