Justin Bieber will be at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena next summer as part of his upcoming Purpose Tour, the artist announced on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Monday.
“We’re doing stadiums in the United States,” Bieber said on the show. The only date he revealed is the August 5, 2017 kick-off at the Rose Bowl.
A spokesperson for Bieber earlier gave the itinerary for the singer’s first-ever stadium tour, which kicks off with the Pasadena date and includes shows in Denver, Minneapolis, East Rutherford, Foxborough and Toronto.
Early last month Rose Bowl Manager Darryl Dunn had confirmed “another big concert” is coming to the Rose Bowl in early August, to be organized and produced by AEG, the same company that is producing the first Arroyo Seco Music and Arts Festival next year.
“It’s a big deal when you announce what the band is and what they’re going to be playing, and the typically thing to do is to announce when you go on sale,” Dunn said. He added detailed discussions with the organizer on this concert have already started to ensure the event proceeds smoothly, after the concert was approved by the Rose Bowl Operating Company in early November.
Billboard has announced tickets for the Justin Bieber concert will go on sale Friday, December 9.
