Is it an ice cream sandwich or a doughnut sundae? Or a different animal entirely? If Afters Ice Cream’s Milky Buns were an animal they would be the zoological equivalent of a unicorn.

Founders Scott and Andy started Afters Ice Cream as a hobby and did not expect the internet fame that would befall them.

“We’re trying to cater to ourselves not to any particular culture – we’re not here to please everybody,” said Scott.

Although many of their flavors seem to be influenced by Asian culture – like Jasmine Milk Tea Ice Cream and Mochi toppings – Afters Ice Cream is a flavor experience all its own. A Milky Bun’s cold ice cream compliments the soft, pillowy doughnut and cereal toppings lend an unexpected crunch.

Afters’ Instagram is drool-worthy and their clean aesthetic practically guarantees a share-worthy photo. The vintage gas station is a statement-making white with minimal black accents and vintage red gasoline pumps.

“It’s a brand that’s just us and we’ll continue to push the envelope,” said Scott.
