In honor of National Stroke Awareness Month, Huntington Hospital Senior Care Network and the hospital’s neurosciences program will present Stroke Awareness Day on Wednesday, May 8. The free event will feature informational displays and fun giveaways from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and a Noon Hour lecture, “Being on Stroke Alert,” from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Arbi Ohanian, MD, director of Huntington Hospital’s stroke center, will speak about decreasing your risk of stroke or possible disability from a stroke.
