The American Cancer Society Relay For Life has gotten a boost from Foothill Transit in the San Gabriel Valley through a donation of advertising space on 330 buses and 5 transit stores. The ads began appearing on buses last month in support of the 23 Relay For Life events in the San Gabriel Valley each year.

Relay For Life is the Society’s largest community fundraising effort to fund cancer research, free patient services and prevention education efforts. This year is the 30th Anniversary of Relay For Life. Each event gives communities across the globe a chance to Celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer during the kick-off ceremony, Remember loved ones lost in a moving luminaria ceremony after sunset, and Fight Back against the disease during the closing ceremony.

“We are delighted to have Foothill Transit as a valuable Relay For Life partner,” said the American Cancer Society’s Viki Goto. “We are always looking for new volunteers, teams, sponsors, survivors and caregivers to participate in our programs. The opportunity Foothill Transit has provided to reach their 48,000 weekday riders and customers is a tremendous asset and we welcome everyone who has been impacted by cancer to join us in finishing the fight against this terrible disease.”
