Community members and friends of Five Acres came out on Thursday, December 3rd to the annual Holiday Open House. The family friendly event offered guests the chance to tour the main campus, enjoy hot cider and savory desserts. The evening featured the famous, “Story Pirates,” a heartwarming and humorous troupe of young actors created a narrative on the spot; inviting guests to share tips to make the story custom for the Open House. The audience roared as they used performance art to create a special story exclusively for that night, with help from tips in the audience. The event also included an arts and crafts room and holiday caroling.

The party also kicks off Five Acres’ annual Toy Drive. During the holiday season, Five Acres asks the community for support of its annual Toy Drive, a holiday initiative that grants holiday wishes for the children in residence and the hundreds of community-based families who rely on our support. Each year, Five Acres hopes to make the holidays a little more joyful for our children and families. Your unwrapped toy donations can be delivered to Five Acres between December 3 and December 14, M-F/8:00 a.m.to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
