The organizers of the 2016 Pasadena International Film Festival announced its final deadline for registering participants is on Friday, January 8, 2016.
The festival runs from March 2 to 10, 2016, with details to be announced shortly.
“The old world of film meets the emerging world of new media in the Pasadena International Film Festival,” an announcement on the organizer’s website says. “We plan to showcase classics from the very beginning of Hollywood’s golden era, while introducing new media projects.”
The weeklong festival will highlight an opening night Great Gatsby gala, a closing night black tie Awards Ceremony, and every evening features a post-screening mixer.
Filmmakers, celebrities, and the public will gather for the festive and exciting week that promotes class, craft, culture, and community.
Filmmakers can participate in this event by submitting their entries in the following categories:
• Feature films – films over 40 minutes in total running time.
• Short Films – Films with a total running time of under 40 minutes.
• Webseries – anything web-related
• Screenplays
All genres including features, shorts, documentaries, webisodes, animation and music videos will be considered.
Submissions have to be postmarked on or before Friday, January 8, in order to qualify.
