The mimosas are flowing and the bacon is sizzling in Old Town Pasadena! That is because the new Holly Street neighborhood hotspot, Sangers & Joe, is partnering with Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen Winner Chef Rouha Sadighi to roll out their new Weekend Brunch Menu starting this Saturday, November 14th, 2015.

Sangers & Joe - Pastries 270pxSangers & Joe just opened their doors in mid-October 2015 and are already serving up Lamill Coffee & Teas, Cake Monkey Bakery pastries and delectable breakfast and lunch plates from award-winning Chef Claudio Dell’Anno. Now, they are proud to announce the addition of their official new Weekend Brunch Menu and that they are teaming up with Chef Rouha Sadighi (The Rooster Breakfast Food Truck, Executive Chef at Kyes in Santa Monica and Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen – Winner, April 12th, 2015) and that the youthful café is going to be rolling out tasty scrambles, benedicts and crepes alongside Chef Sadighi’s signature specialties.

Are You Kidding Me_ 2 270px“I like to take a whimsical and fun approach to breakfast,” says Chef Sadighi, who is kicking off the menu with playfully named dishes like the Are You Kidding Me? (which is exactly what you will say when you taste it). This mouthwatering fluffy French toast dipped in pancake batter then fried, is topped with fresh preserves, two eggs over medium and a choice of bacon or sausage. For those who prefer the chicken before the egg, there is the Bodega vs. Farm, a beer-battered crispy chicken wrapped in a soft Portuguese roll, topped with cabbage slaw drizzled with hot sauce, topped with eggs over medium.

#FitLife 2#FitLife is not just a hashtag, but rather a delicious mixture of farro, roasted Brussels sprouts, asparagus and spinach topped with two poached eggs, while the Rico Sauve is a tasty breakfast burrito stuffed with cheesy eggs scrambled up with Cotija and cheddar cheeses, a choice of bacon or sausage, crispy tater tots and avocado served with fresh Molcajete and cilantro-Serrano crema.

Eggs Benedict 270px 2ndRounding out the menu are five Sangers & Joe Classic Brunch dishes, including two types of benedicts; traditional Eggs Benedict made with French ham, poached eggs and Hollandaise on a toasty English muffin, as well as the Salmon Benedict with spinach, kale, avocado, smoked salmon and Hollandaise. Keeping the “sandwich” in Sanger, the Breakfast Sanger is an open-faced ciabatta bread delight topped with scrambled eggs, gouda and bacon. The Steak & Eggs also delivers with juicy pepper steak, eggs over easy and rosemary potatoes. For those who look forward to the sweet side of Brunch, there is also the warm Crepe & Strawberries drizzled with maple syrup, mint and crème fraîche.

Coffee, Espresso, Latte, Cappuccino and Cold BrewWhile the java menu is well-rounded, offering Lamill Coffee & Teas’ drip Coffee, Espresso, Latte, Cappuccino and Cold Brew options, it is hot brewed cups like the Flat White, a coffee prepared by pouring fine bubbled micro-foam over a single shot of espresso, that rule the list. There is the Long Black mixture of a double shot of espresso poured into a large mug and topped off with hot water, the Piccolo Latte, which is a ristretto shot served in a glass demitasse and topped off with milk, as well as the Babycchino with steamed milk and a sprinkling of chocolate or cinnamon for young Joe imbibers. Additionally, there is a decadent Belgian Mocha (representing the Dell’Anno brothers culture of course) that is made with Arabica coffee and European style cocoa. Tea selections are available in Earl Grey, Jasmine Pearls Green Tea, Moroccan Mint and Chai Tea Latte, to name a few.

Sangers & Joe - Wines 270pxGuests can also sip on freshly squeezed Orange or Grapefruit Juices, Lemonade with Mint, opt for a fizzy Mimosa or share a Carafe of Mimosas with friends. In addition to juices and bubbles, the Wine list offers a sophisticated array of Reds, Whites and Rosés by the glass and bottle procured by Spin The Bottle Wine Studio from Toluca Lake. Not to mention there are bottled Beers to sip on as well, including Cooper’s Sparkling Ale, a light and refreshing brew that is perfect for pairing with morning brunches.

Head to the sunny side of town for eggs sunny-side up, breakfast sangers and tasty signature Brunch plates from Chef Rouha Sadighi soon. Brunch is now officially served at Sangers & Joe!
