Thanksgiving is the time to celebrate with family and friends. Usually the turkey is centerpiece but this year, the cupcakes might take center stage.
Make a winning choice and order a selection of cupcakes from ConfeXion, the Winners of Food Network’s Cupcake Wars. Aunt and nephew team Vandy Altounian and Anthony Valerio have made cupcakes their life and now own two bakery locations.
“I never intended to go into a cupcake business….And then Cupcake Wars came along and that was a big inspiration,” said Valerio. “I get inspired by creativity and that’s what keeps me going,” he added.
ConfeXion offers a selection of Thanksgiving Cupcakes that your guests are sure to gobble up. These handcrafted creations include fondant sculptures of turkeys, cornucopias and fall leaves. Valerio explains that many people love to cupcakes for their beautiful designs as well as their sumptuous flavor.
“We hear a lot actually that like people will say, ‘Oh, these are so beautiful. I can just put them out. They’re decorative and they’re impressive’,” said Valerio.
Flavors include fresh ginger, cranberry compote, red velvet and classics like vanilla and chocolate. Each cupcake is handmade and beautifully decorated.
“They take hours to render and caramelize.. they’re pretty labor intensive. I would say they’re [a] labor of love,” said Valerio.
Bring some love to your table this Thanksgiving and be sure to save room for dessert.
