Chirp, a new, interactive kids karaoke café which recently opened in Pasadena, lets children have fun times not just through music but also through character-themed parties, arts and craft lessons and bonding activities with parents.

“The mission behind Chirp is to offer kids a platform with endless possibilities to be creative while giving parents peace of mind in the process,” said Jennifer Gunn, a local mom who co-founded Chirp. “Chirp offers toddlers a chance to dress up and be silly, watching the older kids dance and sing their hearts out to their favorite songs on stage. As a mom of three, I was always on the hunt for a place all my kids could enjoy, without an age limit, where I could relax and have a latte, and that is exactly what Chirp offers.”

Chirp includes a fun and colorful stage for karaoke, a dress-up station packed with boas, hats and costumes; a padded area just for the little ones to play games and a sitting area for observers.

The cafe also provides a variety of activities for children and their parents from Tuesday to Friday, including karaoke, themed nights with kids’ favorite Disney movies and characters, Mommy and Me classes, and arts and crafts.

Parents can watch over their children from just across the room, while enjoying a warm beverage and pastry at the café.

Private parties can also be held at the Chirp on weekends and weeknights. Chirp staff provide full supervision of kids and they handle the preparations and clean up throughout the party. Private party packages are also available.

“At Chirp, it’s a party every day where kids can create lifelong memories doing performance-based activities,” Gunn said. “As parents, all we want is a place our kids can have fun and have a chance to watch them enjoy themselves, and if we get a break in the process, it’s a win-win.”
