Getting started on a new workout program can be difficult. Life can be hectic and often times our health takes a back seat. Bikram Yoga Pasadena understands this and will be offering a new one hour class to encourage more locals to try it out.
After almost 17 years of offering strictly 90-minute authentic Bikram Yoga classes, the studio has decided the time has come to offer the Pasadena community a faster option. The new BIkpas Power Hour class is a 60-minute version of the traditional Bikram yoga series, giving you go-getters an extra half hour of free time to your day.
There will also be 5 new one-hour classes in the month of October, too, so you’ll have plenty of chances to give one a try. Val, owner of Bikram Yoga Pasadena, touts the benefits of this type of yoga, explaining, “It gives a lot of opportunity to heal, to strengthen, to tone, to de-stress, to live and feel better.” Val says the shorter classes are, “really for new people who are intimidated by the 90 minute (class).”
Studio owner Val Sklar Robinson and senior teacher Jeff Rangel will also be teaching weekly workshops. Some workshops are geared toward new students and others are for the more experienced.
“We want to make yoga classes accessible to more people with busy schedules. Whether they want to add a second workout to their day, get in another day of yoga, or start with a 1 hour class, we think this is the right decision for our studio to continue changing bodies and healing lives in Pasadena,” says Val.
Ready to get motivated? Bikram Yoga Pasadena is about to kick off Rocktober, a month long event filled with workshops, classes and a great 30 day challenge to get you feeling great in time for the holidays. This is a great way to get introduced to Bikram yoga. Val the aim of Rocktober is to, “let all of Pasadena know we are here to help you live and feel better.”
Val will also be offering her YogiVal™ Preteen Yoga Class for Girls and her newly introduced Stretching and Stretching for Teens. That is a great chance to get the teens involved and off of their phones.
Bikram Yoga Pasadena was opened in 1998 and will soon be celebrating its 17-year anniversary this fall. They underwent a major remodel and reconstruction in 2013 and is currently Pasadena’s premier and original hot yoga studio.
“We continue to offer this life challenging and healing practice to our community because it works” states Val. If you are ready to make a change, feel better, get more energized and embrace a new way to be healthy then try out one of these new classes. You just might get hooked.
