January 11th to 16th, Pasadena devoted an entire week to one of mankind’s greatest gastronomical inventions: the cheeseburger.
Cheeseburger Week proved to be a fun-filled event showcasing lots and lots of cheeseburgers, awesome activities and contests including the Cheeseburger Challenge.
Over 1,500 votes were cast in the Cheeseburger Challenge to determine the tastiest, most unique, and most satisfying cheeseburgers in town. Burger lovers voted in 14 categories like Favorite Burger, Favorite Alternative Burger, Favorite Gourmet Burger, and Favorite Vegan/Vegetarian Burger.
Dog Haus emerged as the big winner, snagging first place in the Favorite Burger category.
Meat District Company came out as champions as well, grabbing three wins: first place for Favorite New Restaurant for a Burger, second place for Favorite Burger and Favorite Draught Beer with a Burger.
Other restaurants that earned the top spot were The Counter for Favorite Lunch Counter Burger, Pie ‘n Burger for Favorite Traditional Cheeseburger, Kings Row Gastropub for Favorite Gourmet Burger, Umami Burger for Favorite Turkey Burger and Favorite Vegan/Vegetarian Burger, and Green Street Restaurant for Favorite White Table Cloth Burger.
