At Pasadena Bead and Design Show, which happens January 16 through 19, you can surround yourself with beauty and elegance.
There are 300 exhibits of the newest trends in arts & crafts and opportunities to meet with gem merchants, clothing artisans, and bead artists who offer the highest quality, handmade products such as lampwork masterpieces, polymer and silver clay beads, artisan resources, components, and hard-to-find boutique arts.
Pasadena Bead and Design Show is at the forefront of fabric, ceramic and lapidary arts with the hottest designs in enameling, micro-mosaic art, hand carved silver and gold, foil glass beads, torch worked beads, wood carving, ceramic beads, hand-stitched fine wire, cast opal glass, hand-dyed and printed fabrics, and millinery couture.
The show also hosts 150 hands-on workshops, including new and updated classes in jewelry design beadmaking, jewelry creation, chainmaille, wire-work, glass, polymer clay, metal work, enameling, riveting, soldering, and hat making.
According to Show Manager Casey Johnson, “the workshops at Pasadena Bead and Design Show offer the chance to explore one’s creative side, and to learn about the work that goes into contemporary artisan beads and clothing.â€
Workshops are taught at all skill levels –beginner, intermediate, and advanced –by artisans from around the world. Many popular workshops fill up quickly, and early online reservation is recommended.
