Christopher Haydel and Ricky Biel of Haydel Biel & Associates, along with their hard working staff, pulled off a special evening for the benefit of the Academy of Special Dreams. For the assembled guests, it was a night of mixing, mingling, nibbles and sips with the opportunity to donate to the cause by way of silent auction. And donate they did as Ricky and Christopher were able to present the big check to the Academy at the end of the night for over $7400.00.

One of the highlights of the evening was a special performance by Martin Vogel demonstrating his unique canvas painting known as wheelchair art. Martin spread a canvas on the ground, dropped some paint on it, folded it in half, then proceeded to run over for a bit with his wheelchair. The result was stunning, a beautifully crafted tree painting. It was amazing! A number of the pieces available through the silent auction were donated by Martin as well.

Scholarships were also presented to 3 very deserving individuals, Martin Vogel for Art, Brian To for Music and Ms. Riley Weinstein for Dance. All in all, it was a special evening for the Academy of Special Dreams as they gushed about how this was the first Red Carpet affair ever hosted on behalf of the organization. They were extremely appreciative of the awareness brought to the Academy of Special Dreams by the good folks at Haydel Biel. Cheers!
