For the twelfth entry in its Off the Page series of staged readings, Sierra Madre Playhouse will present A Lesson From Aloes.
From Tony Award –winning playwright Athol Fugard comes this story, set in 1963 during South Africa’s apartheid, which looks at the confrontation between a black man recently released from prison and the white liberal activist he believes betrayed him.
Winner of the New York Drama Critics Circle Award.
Elizabeth Swain directs a cast that includes Tony Amendola, Gregg Daniel and Lily Knight.
Debra J. Harner and Sierra Madre Playhouse Artistic Director Christian Lebano curate the Off the Page series.
Off The Page Series’ A Lesson From Aloes will be held Monday, February 6, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.
