On Friday, May 3, 2013, the YWCA Pasadena-Foothill Valley hosted its 2nd Annual Women’s Leadership and Networking Day. This exciting event was held at Pandora On Green at 33 West Green Street, Pasadena. The Women’s Leadership and Networking Day highlighted the leadership qualities of attendees, focused on ways women in leadership can support one another, connected attendees with a strong network of women leaders, and provided the tools required to be a well-rounded woman.
Guest speakers included: Sally Bixby – Immediate Past President of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, Diana Peterson-More – President of the Pasadena Rotary Club, Paula Stamp – PCL Construction Services Inc., Julie Kelly – CEO & Founder of Her Career Advice, Tina Paul – Doctor of Naturopathy at Vibrant Living Wellness Center and Kardia Pinckney – Financial Coach.
This event, produced by the volunteers of the YWCA’s Women’s Leadership & Networking Day committee, was chaired by Char Bland, along with co-chair Kelsey Szamet. The Women’s Leadership & Networking Day served as a day of professional development along with positive networking. “We were excited to have such a diverse panel of successful, empowered women join us for this year’s event. The Women’s Leadership & Networking Day is designed for all women, ranging from college students to high-level executives,†said Tamika Farr, Executive Director.
The event brought together more than 100 successful professionals and students, who were all able to network and share personal advice and stories on women empowerment in their varied career fields and further their professional and personal development. As the YWCA Pasadena-Foothill Valley’s annual Women’s Leadership and Networking Day continues to succeed in reaching a larger audience of empowered professional women, we look forward to next year.
