People who are 75 to 100 pounds overweight are at risk for health complications, including type 2 diabetes, cardiac arrest or even premature death. At the Keck Medical Center of USC, they assist patients who have struggled with traditional weight loss methods by offering a comprehensive and supportive approach that includes weight management programs and procedures performed by pioneering surgeons, Namir Katkhouda, MD (Professor of Surgery, Director USC Bariatric Surgery), Peter Crookes, MD (Professor of Surgery) and Joerg Zehetner, MD (Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery).
Topics to be discussed include, weight loss methods, patient selection process, the latest weight loss surgery techniques & findings and health benefits of weight loss & results.
