Some 500 guests spent Saturday afternoon tasting fine wines and outstanding cuisine at the Sixth Annual Pasadena PinotFest Grand Tasting. Sponsored by Pasadena’s top-rated Noir Food & Wine, the popular event was held at the picturesque Altadena Town & Country Club in Altadena, Calif.

Guests had the opportunity to sample more than 200 pinot noirs from 70 leading wineries including: Alma Rosa; Ampelos; Arcadian; Badge; Brewer-Clifton; Carr; Clary Ranch; Clos Pepe; Cottonwood Canyon; D’Alfonso-Curran; Derby; Dierberg; Dragonette; Dutton-Goldfield; Flying Goat; Fogline; George Wine; Gypsy Canyon; HitchingPost; Ken Brown; Kenneth Volk; Kessler-Haak; Ketcham Estate; La Crema; La Fenetre; Landmark; Loring Wine Company; Marimar Torres; Pence Ranch; Prodigal; Dierra Madre; Sojourn Cellars; Stephen Ross; Talley; Thorne; Zotovich Cellars, and many more.

Several of the showcased wines were exclusive to Pasadena PinotFest, and all featured wines were available for purchase at the event through Monopole Wine of Pasadena. Those in attendance also were treated to top-notch noshing prepared by Noir Food & Wine, Claud & Co., Altadena Town & Country Club, The Cheese Store, Bulgarini Gelato, and Luna Olivo.

A portion of the PinotFest proceeds—including purchased wines as well as the silent and live auctions—were donated to Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services—one of the largest private providers of children’s mental-health services in Los Angeles County.
