625 Management Company has issued a challenge to Walk to End Alzheimer‘s participants in the Pasadena Highlands, The Commons and Carmel Village communities. The company will match funds donated and raised by participants in each community up to $50,000.
The challenge match gift will be used to fund an Alzheimer’s Association research grant at one or more of these southern California universities: UCLA, USC, Cal Tech and/or UC Irvine.
The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease, the nation’s sixth leading cause of death.
Pasadena Highlands, The Commons and Carmel Village are Senior Living communities located in Pasadena, Woodland Hills and Fountain Valley, CA.
The Alzheimer’s Association International Research Grant Program is at the heart of the Association’s commitment to advance Alzheimer’s science. Since awarding its first grants in 1982, the Association has grown into the largest, private, nonprofit funder of Alzheimer’s research, awarding over $340 million to more than 2,250 best-of-field grant proposals that advance the understanding of Alzheimer’s disease, help identify new treatment strategies, provide information to improve care for people with dementia, and further knowledge of brain health and disease prevention.
Pasadena Highlands is located at 1575 E. Washington Blvd, Pasadena.
