South Pasadena Fire Department officials handed a $1,000 check to the Firefighters Quest for Burn Survivors organization last week.
The 2015 Quest Rally took place from June 8-12 with a mission to raise awareness about burn injuries, promote burn prevention and education, and raise funds for burn centers, burn foundations, and burn survivors.
The weeklong fundraiser was designed to collect donations from more that 120 fire departments, law enforcement agencies, as well as private and corporate organizations throughout Southern California.
Traveling with red lights and sirens, a volunteer staff rolled into South Pasadena last Thursday caravan style escorted by participating fire and law enforcement vehicles, stopping off at the local fire station to pick up the generous donation.
Since the organization is 100 percent staffed by volunteers, 100 percent of all donations benefit burn survivors.
