The Pasadena Police Air Operations Section and the Foothill Air Support Team (FAST) will conduct their 9th annual Christmas Toy Drive at the Pediatrics Ward of Huntington Memorial Hospital. Pasadena Police Chief Phillip L. Sanchez, will escort Santa Clause and his flight suit clad “elves” as they arrive bearing gifts and holiday cheer in their own special rotor-equipped sleigh.
The event will be held on Tuesday, December 16th as follows: Huntington Memorial Hospital, 100 West California Blvd., Pasadena. Participants will meet in the Main Lobby no later than 9:00 a.m. Attendees will be led to where the “sleigh” (helicopter) will land with Santa and crew before visiting the Pediatrics Ward. After visiting the hospital, the flight crews will conduct a ground based mission where children impacted by domestic violence will visit the North Pole (Police Heliport). This event will be held in conjunction with Peace Over Violence. Peace Over Violence is an organization committed to serving domestic violence and sexual assault survivors in our community. ‘We are so appreciative of their generosity and commitment to serving survivors,” comments Peace Over Violence Program Director Sandy Monroy about the event.
